Planning for this series has been stressful because it requires me to be more vulnerable than I already am. I struggled a lot with how to start this but why not start from the very beginning.
Getting off the Ground
- Find your niche
- What do you want your organization to do?
- What do you want to accomplish?
- Who do you want to reach?
For this people will say be realistic…I say DREAM B I G!!
When you are in the early stages of planning, that is not the time to limit yourself. Goals that are reached probably started off as some far off dream that they didn’t think would happen but look at Bill Gates now…
- Find your people
- Surround yourself with those who are aligned to your goal
- This is HARD
- Don’t surround yourself with friends for the heck of it
- They can be strangers
Do you understand what I’m saying? Deciding to endeavor on a project with someone that is just your friend and isn’t passionate is going to lead to your downfall. This is the beginning do not start off shaky.
When my organization started to get off the ground it was with five wonderful women who I did not know but were passionate about what we wanted to accomplish. That is what good business is.
So, this week take some time and plan out these first two things and I will see you in a few with the next step.
